DEMATERIALISATION OF THE CUSTOMS PROCEDURES VIA LE GUICHET UNIQUE DU COMMERCE EXTERNAL (GUCE) : Official commissioning of the GUCE computer recovery site.

As part of the IT reforms under way within the Benin Customs Administration with the technical support of Webb Fontaine, this has been done. Monday 03 December 2018 the official implementation of the GUCE computer recovery site. Remember that the Single Window of Foreign Trade is a computer platform linking the various actors of foreign trade for the exchange of information on imports, exports and transit. In production since August 2018 and financed by Webb Fontaine for an amount greater than 80 million CFA francs, the take-back site is a site where all GUCE online services will be made available in case of a disaster affecting the primary site.

In his communication, the presenter focused on hardware, software, recurring loads and the way the site operates. He also recalled that two conclusive tests had been carried out during August 2018 and the repatriation of disaster data would take place in less than three hours. Representatives of the various DGDDI partners were present, namely the Directors General of Customs and Indirect Rights, Taxes, Webb Fontaine, the Director of Institutional Reforms, the representatives of Benin Control, Mr Tadatsugu Toni MatsudairaExpert of the International Monetary Fund on technical assistance to the Benin Customs Administration. All followed with great interest the presentation made.

This prowess, which shows the good vitality of the relations between Webb Fontaine and DGDDI, aims to clarify the different levels of access to the site, the procedures in case of change of software or not, and especially the taking of texts relating to the proper operation of the site.
