On the occasion of his official appointment, the Director-General of Customs, Dr Raouf Malèhossou ABOUDOU, presented the main guidelines for his work at the head of the customs administration.

Its vision revolves around four main areas: strengthening revenue mobilization, modernising customs administration, promoting transparency and good governance, and improving working conditions and staff welfare.

The new Director-General also highlighted a major institutional breakthrough: the return of the management of the House of Customs to the customs administration itself. A development which he considers a strong symbol of responsibility and trust given to customs officers.

In calling for the commitment of all agents, the Director-General reaffirmed his commitment to building a more efficient, modern and efficient customs service for the economic development of Benin.
