Following instructions from the Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights, the Colonel Charles Inousa SACCA BOCO, the PREKETE Customs Recipe, headed by the LABITE Customs Inspector, has made a feat in this department.

Indeed, during the execution of the service on Sunday, 09 December 2018, the elements of the customs brigade of PREKETE arrested the MAZDA E 2200 mini bus transport vehicle registered TG 2580 X from the Togolese border to Cotonou and having on board at least 15 people. The summary check revealed the presence of suspicious packages.

A thorough search revealed three (03) packages containing all the pellets of psychotropic products (Indian hemp).

Later, in the presence of the Receveur des Douanes and the officials of the Commissariat de Bassila, a total of three hundred and forty-nine (349) meatballs with a total weight of two hundred and thirty-five (235) kilograms were discovered.

According to customs legislation, the fraud goods, the means of transport and the goods used to mask the fraud were made available to the Commissariat de Bassila for investigation.

Note that the bus driver during the first check confused himself with the passengers and took the key to the fields.
