As part of the implementation of the Government's Action Programme 2016-2026, important reforms to boost Benin's economy have focused on the private sector with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. This morning's conference brought together a number of actors, including officials from the Benin Customs Administration.

Two presentations were made through two sessions on the following topics: (i) Status of promotion of private enterprises in Benin and (ii) Determining the sustainability of private enterprises in Benin, challenges and prospects. Following these two presentations, a panel of experts was set up for interactive exchanges with all participants.
