On Friday 12 November 2021, a strong delegation headed by the Director General of Customs, his Deputy and the Director General of Benin Control held a working session with the economic operators of the departments of Mono Couffo.
After the usual civilities, the Director General of Customs presented the ongoing reforms within his administration. All issues relating to connection, customs procedures, requisitioning of goods, relations with users, trade facilitation and other concerns were discussed. Satisfied with the replies of the customs authorities and Benin Control, the economic operators said they understand the need for reforms and promised to accompany the customs in achieving its revenue mobilization objectives.
Started at 10:15 a.m., the session after 12:45 p.m. at the meeting room of Grand Popo City Hall.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the adjacent checkpoint, including the truck weighing site and the scanner site.
