The fight against pharmaceutical crime is far from familiar with its epilogue in Benin. After the rapid response services, it is the turn of the front line units to discourage the perpetrators of this unhealthy traffic.

Indeed, it was in the afternoon of 26 December 2017 that the agents of the customs brigade of Savé, in execution of a traffic service on the Cotonou-Parakou axis, intercepted at the height of Diho, the truck registered Y9488/AE0748RB carrying a container number TLCU 145576/4 supposed to be empty.

Further to their investigations, they were given the opportunity to observe that the container carried several cartons.

Unloading carried out in the presence of the driver of the lorry allowed to count 250 kg of pharmaceutical products.

An application shall be made to the President of the Court of First Instance of Abomey for an order to confiscate and authorize the destruction of the said products.
