  • Provisional suspension of the Fee Tracking on cotton fibre from the countries of the hinterland. – DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR CUSTOMS

Provisional suspension of the Fee Tracking on cotton fibre from the countries of the hinterland.

This is by Service Note No. 4019/DGDDI/DLRI and Circular No 4020 DGDDI/DLRI of 22 November 2017 that the Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights has provisionally suspended the Fee Tracking on cotton fibre from the countries of the hinterland.

Should we remind him, by Memorandum No.3808/DGDDI/DLRI dated 08 November 2017The Customs DG launched the tracking in the Republic of Benin. That measure had been taken in order to enable the competent customs authorities to monitor in-transit cargoes at a distance and in real time during their journey between the office of departure and the office of destination.

However, it is important to make it clear that this provisional suspension only concerns the Fee Tracking collected on fibre cotton from the countries of the hinterland in transit through the port of Cotonou.
