On Wednesday 26 September 2018, the Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights visited the diversion site to allow the resumption of the movement of goods; services and people on the Cotonou Malanville axis. On his descent, the Director General was able to see the effectiveness of the work and was pleased with the short time taken to complete the work for a speedy resumption of the transactions between the two countries. After this stage of the tour, he went to the Juxtaposed Control Post in Malanville where a working session was held with his Nigerian counterpart. It should also be noted that this session provided an update on the interconnection between the two customs administrations and the measures for the effective and expeditious operation of the Juxtaposed Control Post in Malanville.
