A NEW GENERAL DIRECTOR AT THE HEAD OF THE BENINOISE CUSTOMS

It is a very simple ceremony that dedicated the taking over of this very committed framework on Thursday 13 April 2017.
In front of many guests, Charles Inousa SACCA BOCO, the new Director General of Customs reassured the disciples of Saint Mathieu of his intention to win battles in complicity with them, in the discipline, respect for the texts in force, and the Code of Ethics and Ethics.

Determined to make its management a success, it also intends to mark its time with records in terms of reforms and customs revenues never matched. For the Director General, Beninese customs must become better to better serve the Republic. For example, it intends to carry out major reforms aimed at, inter alia, modernizing the customs administration. An objective that remains an imperative.

It should be noted that it is by Decree No.2017-211 of 10 April 2017 that the Commander of Customs, Charles Inousa SACCA BOCO was appointed Director General. He replaced Colonel of Customs, Pierre-Claver TOSSOU.
Note that DG Charles Inousa SACCA BOCO is one of the recognized values of the Benin Customs Administration. He holds a Diploma in Advanced Studies (DEA) in Management Sciences and is currently preparing a doctoral thesis on « Innovative Financing, Public-Private Partnership and Financial Governance in Developing Countries ».
At the age of 40, he was trained at the National School of Customs of Benin (2001-2002). He is also an elder of the Royal School of Customs and Excise of Brussels Art-Laws (2002-2003) from where He came out elsewhere with Excellent Mention, Major of Promotion, with an average of more than 19/20.
Charles Inousa SACCA BOCO is young but very experienced. He participated in a training course on « Customs valuation of goods » organised by the Veritas Bureau (BIVAC). He attended a training seminar on « Policy evaluation » held in Cotonou from 16 to 27 June 2008. From 2002 to 2006, he was an active member of the Committee for the Management of the Common External Tariff within WAEMU and ECOWAS and a member of the Committee for the Certification of Community Products at the national, regional and subregional levels.
He has also proved himself at the head of the Cotonou-Port Customs Recipe. He had led the Directorate of Legislation and International Relations (DLRI) with skill. His passage at the head of the Cotonou-Port Customs Brigade (2014-2015) is now engraved in memories where each time he left an excellent relationship with his collaborators.
Indeed, this is the period when revenues reached the highest level ever achieved, more than 32 billion in October 2014.
His fulgurant ascent is indisputably the fruit of his many merits.
